Dr. Nurcin Celik was elevated to Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Senior Membership. The requirements for such an elavation can be found here.

PhD Candidacy

Joshua Darville passed his oral proposal examination and is officially a PhD candidate! His dissertation is entilted "Machine Learing & Optimization for Smart Grids using the Dynamic Data-driven Application Systems Paradigm."

AAR Corp Data Analytics Internship

May

Mahmoud Fahmy started got an internship at AAR Corp. He has been working on the data analytics side, using Python and SQL to build pipelines to help identify opportunities for cost savings on scrapped parts, requisitions, and to reduce machining time.

Outstanding Graduate Student Award

Abdurahman Yavuz recieved the industrial engineering (IE) Outstanding Graduate Student Award for Research. This award recognizes a Ph.D. student who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in research while working as a Research Assistant.
